Counselling is a safe space to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. As a counsellor, my role is to help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, which in turn allows you to develop a better understanding of yourself, the things you have experienced and the way they impact you in the present. Issues covered in counselling include but are not limited to:

As a counsellor, my role is not to tell people what to do, fix things or give advice. I believe everyone has the ability to make the decisions that are right for them if they are given the space and the correct questioning to facilitate them in getting there.

If this is your first time looking into therapy please feel free to get in touch and together we can look at what it is that would be best suited for you.

As a therapist, I’m biased. I believe everyone needs therapy, whether they are in a good place or a bad place. Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to explore without judgement, others’ opinions or suggestions – who doesn’t need that?

I became a coach when trying to understand the difference between counselling and coaching as I wasn’t sure of what this new and popular term actually entailed. Through training I have understood that coaching is working with people to change their mindset. This might be working on confidence, gaining clarity or transforming your limiting beliefs around a particular issue. Counselling focuses on the emotional impact of issues, while coaching focuses more on mindset. This doesn’t mean coaching is emotion free – it just has a different focus and techniques to help clients reach their goals.

Counselling isn’t just for a labelled issue. Sometimes we can just feel sad, overwhelmed or unsure and want someone to talk it out with. I am not in the business of holding sessions with people who don’t need them – my integrity and that of my profession is important to me! If I feel the services aren’t suitable for you, we will talk about it and see what would work best.

There is no time period for counselling or coaching. However, in order to be able to get a basic level of support we need 6 weeks. While this can sound long, it’s only 6 hours. Think about your life and just one area of it – 6 hours in comparison isn’t that long at all. We do a minimum of 6 weeks in counselling and 4 in coaching, but also offer an open-ended service.

We all have emotional issues that have impacted us in some way – we are human. For some they are able to work through them alone, although check-in therapy is also highly recommended for even the most emotionally aware amongst us. By combining counselling and coaching, it offers emotional exploration along with the practical tools. Working to have an understanding of why we behave, feel and think in the way we do, and working practically to change it, allows individuals to create the version of themselves that can get them to where they want to be in life. For every client this is an individual journey, and the goals are set according to their world, but the results show better understanding of themselves, and a direct impact on their relationships, friendships and work environments.

Sometimes we can be very distracted by life and involved in undertaking our daily schedules. Often, I find that people can do this to the best of their ability and, in the process, neglect to nurture themselves. These self-care boxes are monthly reminders and lovely packages to remind you to look after yourself. I have worked hard to ensure I offer premium products to allow you to treat yourself with the best. My packages take into account the different areas of our lives that require care and are carefully hand-made taking each individual customer into account. Regardless of the box size you purchase, the end product is the same – a bespoke self-care box created to provide you with the tools necessary to look after number one – you.
